
The contest is organized by the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Disabled and Orphans (ASVHO) in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The national final round had the participation of 9 teams that won First, Second, Third prizes in the 3 regions of North, Central, South including: Binh Thuan, Da Nang City, Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Soc Trang, Thai Nguyen and 4 teams with contestants winning regional gold medals including: Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Tay Ninh, Quang Nam.
The performances participating in the final round were all carefully prepared and staged, demonstrating creativity and uniqueness, vividly reflecting the cultural and spiritual life of people with disabilities.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans praised the efforts of the disabled contestants.
“The contestants not only came to compete but also brought their souls, dreams and aspirations through each song and voice. You have conquered yourselves, overcome the barriers of disability and social prejudice, to confidently shine in your own way,” Mr. Dam emphasized.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 14 consolation prizes to 31 entries in the contest.
The Quang Nam delegation participated in the contest with the song “Listening to the boat singing at night, remembering Uncle Ho” performed by Ms. Truong Thi Bich Diem (blind), and won a gold medal. In addition, the Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Children’s Rights and Poor Patients of Quang Nam province was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Association.
Sharing about the competition, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Diem said: “This is the first time I have stood on a national stage and sung, I am both nervous and honored. The gold medal is a great joy, a motivation for me to continue to live optimistically and spread love through music.”

The contest is held every five years, after two successful editions in 2014 and 2019. The singing contest for people with disabilities is a meaningful playground, creating opportunities for people with disabilities in provinces and cities to exchange, learn, demonstrate cultural and artistic talents, affirm their own values and gradually integrate deeply into social life.
This activity also contributes to concretizing the implementation of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Law on Persons with Disabilities and the Program to Support Persons with Disabilities for the period 2021 - 2030.
