Threshold to ensure university entrance quality in 2025

On July 21, the Ministry of Education and Training issued two Decisions No. 2099/QD-BGDDT and No. 2100/QD-BGDDT to determine the threshold to ensure input quality for university and college admissions in 2025 for two groups of majors: teacher training and health with professional practice certificates.

According to Decision No. 2099/QD-BGDDT, the threshold to ensure input quality for majors in the teacher training group is as follows:

For university-level teacher training programs, the minimum score is 19 points. For Physical Education , Music Pedagogy, and Fine Arts Pedagogy, the minimum score is 18 points, applied to the admission combination of 3 cultural subjects.

For the College level Early Childhood Education program, the minimum score is 16.5 points for the combination of 3 cultural subjects.

According to Decision No. 2100/QD-BGDDT, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates the entrance score threshold for university admission in 2025 for health majors with practice certificates as follows:

Medicine, Dentistry: 20.5 points; Traditional Medicine, Pharmacy: 19.0 points; Other majors, including: Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Dental Prosthetic Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Preventive Medicine: 17.0 points.

The threshold to ensure input quality in 2025 for candidates in region 3 is determined from the high school graduation exam scores, applied to admission to majors in the group of majors training teachers at university and college levels and the group of health majors with university-level practice certificates.

The minimum score is calculated based on the total score of the combination of 3 exams/subjects, without multiplying the coefficient, without calculating bonus points and without distinguishing between exam results between candidates studying according to the 2006 or 2018 General Education Program.

Also related to admission work, last week, a series of universities announced the threshold to ensure input quality; regulations on score deviation between admission combinations, and conversion of university admission scores between methods.

Last week was also the last time for candidates to register for university and college admissions in 2025.
