After nearly 3 decades of togetherness, having traveled all over the country with revolutionary songs, the "red music trio" - Trong Tan, Dang Duong and Viet Hoan - will reunite in the live concert "The Country is Full of Joy".

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter at the rehearsal to prepare for the music night, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong said that choosing the time to organize the live concert "The Country is Full of Joy" at the end of May was not a coincidence, but a calculated decision to prolong the echoes of the great victory day, as a gift of gratitude to the audience after the occasion of April 30.
"During April, we all had a busy schedule, performing in provinces and cities from North to South, especially at important events celebrating April 30. Organizing a live concert together on that occasion was not feasible.
After discussing with the Organizing Committee, we agreed to choose the end of May, when the atmosphere of the great victory day still lingers, to send the audience an emotional music night - as a gift to prolong the joy and national pride," said Dang Duong.
He confided that, right from the first practice session with the orchestra, the three brothers felt the atmosphere full of enthusiasm and happiness.
He added: "It feels like reliving the golden age, when we stood together on stage, singing along to familiar epic songs. I believe that when the program is completed, the audience will enjoy a true, meticulous and profound night of art."
When asked about the song that could be considered the "beginning" of the journey of the "red music trio", Dang Duong did not hesitate to immediately mention "The Road We Go" and "My Homeland Vietnam" - 2 songs that brought Gold Prizes to all 3 at a National Music Festival for professional art schools after 1998.
"We definitely remember it! That was the time when the three of us participated in the festival together, won the Gold Award with those two songs, and then combined into a singing group to remake the song " The Road We Go ", Dang Duong said.
Previously, the song " The Road We Go " was successfully performed by People's Artist Doan Tan as a solo. When the trio performed it again in a new style, the recording was quickly broadcast widely and received special love from audiences nationwide. From that moment, a "red music trio" was officially born, opening up an artistic journey of more than 2 decades of attachment.

Although each has their own career mark, when combined together, Trong Tan - Dang Duong and Viet Hoan always create sublime performances (Photo: Organizer).
Not only are they good co-stars on stage, in real life, Dang Duong, Trong Tan and Viet Hoan are also close friends, having been together for nearly 3 decades.
"When not on stage, the three brothers still maintain a simple, rustic lifestyle, close to everyone. No one in the group thinks of themselves as stars or big artists, we just consider ourselves ordinary artists, singing revolutionary music with all respect for the audience," Dang Duong confided.
According to him, because they pursue mainstream music, all three of them always remind each other to live properly, stay away from gossip, not make inappropriate statements, and maintain their image not only for themselves but also for the music genre they represent.
"We and our whole family love each other. Even though we are not related by blood, our feelings are as close as those of blood relatives," said the male singer.
Dang Duong, Trong Tan, and Viet Hoan are three typical singers of revolutionary music and Vietnamese homeland. They were put together into a group by People's Artist Quang Tho, who was then the teacher of all three artists, in 1998 after the National Professional Student Singing Contest.
The trio officially debuted to the audience at the 10th anniversary of the Miss Vietnam contest. After their impressive performance, they were invited to North Korea to perform the song " The Road We Take" - a turning point that affirmed the trio's position in the mainstream music.
Since then, Trong Tan, Dang Duong, and Viet Hoan have stood together on hundreds of large and small stages domestically and internationally. They held two separate live shows in 2018 and 2020. However, in recent years, each has pursued personal projects, so there have been few opportunities to perform together.
Live concert "The Country is Full of Joy" took place on the evening of May 24 at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi . This is a special music night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
At the press conference introducing the live concert, musician Son Thach, the program's music director, shared: "The audience will feel the original music, just like when the elders sang on the radio in the past, from the tone to the spirit.
This is a music night that conveys history through emotion, where each melody is not only for enjoyment but also to remind, to show gratitude and to preserve memories of a glorious time.

According to musician Son Thach, the live show is staged as a musical "march". The three main singers and guest Anh Tho will take the audience along the Truong Son road from North to South, through the emotional range of the soldiers and the rear throughout the resistance journey.
The artists will perform a series of classic revolutionary songs that have been deeply ingrained in the minds of many generations of audiences, such as: Day and Night March (Phan Huynh Dieu), The Road We Go (Huy Du), Marching Together in the Spring (Cam La) and Love Song (Hoang Viet)...
