On April 14, the police of Loc Chau commune, Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province temporarily detained Phan Thi Kim Tuyen, 33 years old, residing in Bao Loc city, to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
According to the initial investigation of the police, on April 12, Tuyen contacted the owner of the flower shop, Ms. Cao Thi Nga in Loc Chau commune, to place an order. Specifically, he asked Ms. Nga to make a bouquet of flowers using many real banknotes with a total value of 7.2 million VND as a gift.
After receiving the bouquet of flowers made of money, Tuyen asked for the account number to make the money transfer and showed Ms. Nga a screenshot showing the successful transfer. After that, this woman sent a picture of the money transfer transaction via Zalo to Ms. Nga and left with the bouquet of flowers made of money. When Tuyen left the store, Ms. Nga discovered that she had been scammed and reported it to the authorities.
Working with the police, Tuyen initially confessed to ordering the flowers with cash and then spending the money. To trick the shop owner, Tuyen asked someone to use photo editing software to create fake transfer transaction information.
With this trick, Phan Thi Kim Tuyen appropriated the property of 3 flower and birthday cake shop owners in Lam Dong.
The case is currently under investigation by the police and will be handled according to regulations.
