8th grade female student forced to kneel on the bathroom floor and received "rain of slaps"

On April 25, information from the Departmentof Education and Training of Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province said that the unit is clarifying the case of an 8th grade female student being beaten by a group in the restroom of Gio Linh town Middle School.

The incident occurred on April 24, then was filmed and spread on social media. Just a few hours after being posted, the clip received hundreds of thousands of views and shares, most viewers expressed quite indignant about the incident.

Currently, the Gio Linh District Education and Training Department has directed Gio Linh Town Secondary School to send the homeroom teacher and family to take the beaten student to the District Health Center for examination. For the students involved in the incident, the school continues to coordinate with relevant units to verify and handle according to regulations.

In the posted clip, a female student was forced to kneel on the bathroom floor and was repeatedly slapped by a group of other female students, hit in the face with helmets, and the group even tried to tear her shirt.

According to initial information, the beaten female student is an 8th grader at Gio Linh Town Secondary School. She was beaten and filmed by some of her schoolmates and 2 10th graders from Gio Linh District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center.

After learning about the incident, the leaders of Gio Linh District People's Committee directed units to verify and clarify.
