Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, Head of the Examination Department, Xanh Pon Hospital, said that the department has 54 examination rooms and receives thousands of patients every day.

Therefore, the application of information technology, specifically the patient's digital signature, will help save waiting time for examination. Initially, the hospital will deploy it to 100% of inpatients and 3 outpatient clinics in the Examination Department, then there will be a roadmap for deployment throughout the hospital.

Accordingly, when implementing digital signatures, patients do not need to bring any documents other than their phones when going to the clinic. Because all patient information has been integrated into the VNeiD application.

Dr. Hang said that after the medical examination and treatment process, the patient performs a digital signature on the VNeiD application on the phone. As soon as the patient signs, the doctor issues a prescription, helping to save time and reduce paperwork for the patient, as they no longer have to manually sign the treatment cost statement.

Implementing digital signatures not only saves time, but also reduces paperwork for patients, as they no longer have to sign by hand on the treatment cost statement. In addition, patients' personal information is better secured, minimizing the risk of forgery or misuse.

The application of digital signatures also contributes to transparency in medical examination and treatment costs, authenticating patients who actually use the service, thereby minimizing fraud and health insurance profiteering and enhancing people's trust in the health system.

Dr. Hang said that in the coming time, the Hospital will continue to expand the implementation of digital signatures for other types of documents in the outpatient examination and treatment process, in order to promote digital transformation, reduce administrative procedures and improve the patient experience.

According to Dr. Luong Duc Dung, Head of General Planning Department, Xanh Pon Hospital, in addition to implementing digital signatures, the hospital is continuing to deploy electronic medical records to completely replace paper medical records, ensuring connectivity with the national health system.

"Processes such as examination registration, diagnosis, clinical indications, payment, prescription and treatment monitoring are all performed on a digital platform, helping to save time and reduce professional errors," said Dr. Dung.

Dr. Dung said that in the near future, the hospital will also deploy an AI assistant system in medical examination and treatment. In addition, the hospital will deploy a smart chatbot to support answering medical examination information, providing treatment instructions, reminding follow-up appointments, and taking medicine via Zalo and mobile applications.
