Ca Mau: Request to review individuals and groups that violated at Dong Hai Regional Medical Center

On December 6, information from the Ca Mau Provincial Inspectorate said that it had issued a conclusion on the inspection of compliance with legal regulations in the field of medical examination and treatment under health insurance at the Dong Hai Regional Medical Center.

Through inspection, it was discovered that Dong Hai Regional Medical Center still has limitations such as: allowing the insurance agency to refuse payment due to inappropriate bed display errors, prescribing and ordering drugs that do not match the diagnosis, and prescribing technical services that do not match the diagnosis.

In addition, some packages organized by the Dong Hai Regional Medical Center for bidding and supplying drugs have expired contracts. During the inspection period, the center did not purchase 51/381 items, and the center purchased less than 80% of the quantity of 98/381 items according to the signed contract. Drug preservation was not fully implemented according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health on good practices for preserving drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients. Expired drugs and poor quality drugs were not fully handled.

Faced with the above limitations, the Inspectorate of Ca Mau province requested the Director of the Dong Hai Regional Medical Center to continue to disseminate and raise awareness and compliance with legal regulations on medical examination and treatment under health insurance; regularly update professional regulations and rules in the medical field; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of legal regulations on medical examination and treatment under health insurance, and not request payment in violation of regulations, leading to the health insurance agency refusing to pay.

Dong Hai Regional Medical Center needs to overcome shortcomings and limitations and organize a review to clarify responsibilities, and have appropriate handling measures for relevant groups and individuals according to regulations.
