Temporary operation of rest stops on Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highway

On December 6, Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company (investor) began to temporarily operate the Rest Stop at Km534+310, on the North-South Expressway section Ham Nghi - Vung Ang (Cam Hung commune, Ha Tinh province).

This is the first rest stop temporarily put into operation on the North-South expressway section through Ha Tinh province, marking an important step in completing service infrastructure for people participating in traffic.

On the first day of temporary operation, many drivers and people stopped at the Rest Stop at Km534+310 Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway to eat, rest and shop for all kinds of goods.

Talking to SGGP Newspaper reporter, Mr. Dinh Van Bay, Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company, said that, for now, this Rest Stop is temporarily operating on one side in the North-South direction. Although it is only temporarily operating, the station has completed almost all the infrastructure items of a main station, from service houses, supermarkets, restaurants, restrooms to spacious parking areas... capable of receiving about 200 vehicles at the same time.

It is expected that in the next 4 days, the company will also temporarily put into operation a rest stop for North-South travel.

As for the petrol station at the Rest Stop at Km534+310, the construction and installation of equipment have been basically completed. It is expected that this petrol station will be put into operation in about 7 days after being evaluated, accepted and licensed by the competent authority in accordance with legal regulations.

According to Mr. Dinh Van Bay, the rest stop for both North - South and South - North directions has an area of ​​10 hectares (5 hectares on each side), with a total investment of nearly 370 billion VND. The project will be implemented from April 2025. It is expected that by the end of April 2026, the entire rest stop will be completed and officially put into operation.

Along with operating the station in Ha Tinh province, Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company is also urgently completing the remaining items at the Rest Stop at Km594+900, Quang Tri province (about 60km from the Rest Stop at Km534+310), with a total investment of nearly 370 billion VND. It is expected that in about 1 month, this station will also be put into temporary operation with similar facilities: service house, supermarket, restaurant, event area and driver support services.

The North-South expressway through Ha Tinh province has a total length of about 107.28km, with 2 rest stops, of which 1 station is located at Km478+200 Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway in Duc Quang commune and 1 station at Km534+310 Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway in Cam Hung commune.
