Hai Phong Youth Union donated nearly 1 billion VND to support children and people in the flood-hit areas of Dak Lak.

On December 6, Hai Phong City Youth Union, along with its affiliated clubs, associations, groups, and Hai Phong Young Entrepreneurs Association, coordinated with Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union to organize a program to visit and give gifts to children and people affected by storms and floods in Dak Lak province.

Accordingly, the delegation directly visited residential areas heavily affected by storms and floods in Hoa My commune, Duc Binh commune and Dong Hoa ward, listened to people's sharing about difficulties in daily life and production after the natural disaster; sent words of encouragement, shared and presented gifts including necessities and school supplies to people and children with a total value of 929 million VND.

It is known that, implementing the announcement of the Politburo on assigning Hai Phong City to support and assist Dak Lak province in overcoming the consequences caused by rain and floods; responding to the call for support for people in natural disaster areas, Hai Phong City Youth Union launched a campaign to raise donations to support people in flood-affected areas of Dak Lak province, deployed simultaneously at Youth Union bases.

Representatives of units gave gifts to people in Dong Hoa ward.

From November 24 to December 5, the campaign received the support of all levels of the Youth Union and a large number of youth union members, organizations and groups in Hai Phong city with a total support value of 929 million VND, of which cash was 427.5 million VND and necessities converted into cash was 501.5 million VND.

The program contributes to spreading the beautiful image of the youth of the two localities in the journey of joining hands for the community, promoting social responsibility and tradition of affection in times of hardship and difficulty.
