From December 5-7, Sala Humanitarian Club implemented large-scale charity programs in Chiem Hoa, Tuyen Quang province, on the occasion of its 15th anniversary (2010-2025).
The program focuses on two main activities: examining and performing humanitarian surgery for patients in difficult circumstances in Chiem Hoa, and inaugurating a new school in Kien Thiet commune, contributing to improving learning conditions for ethnic minority children.
During three days at the Chiem Hoa Regional Medical Center, the Sala Charity Club medical team coordinated with local medical staff to conduct screening and surgery for people. A total of nearly 100 cases were screened, of which nearly 30 patients with complex motor disabilities or sequelae received surgery and medical intervention.
Doctor Ha Van Linh - Director of Chiem Hoa Regional Medical Center said that the program not only cures diseases for many people but also brings new faith and hope to people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, and those with financial and travel difficulties.

Associate Professor Nguyen Manh Khanh - Deputy Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Chairman of Sala Humanitarian Club and Chairman of Vietnam Orthopedic Trauma Association said that the club's activities are a way of expressing gratitude to the ethnic people who have protected the medical sector during the difficult years of resistance and to continue improving the quality of treatment for people in remote areas.
In parallel with the medical examination program, the delegation held the inauguration ceremony of Khau Luong-Khau Lang school in Kien Thiet commune. The project includes two spacious classrooms, built entirely from socialized resources contributed by Club members and benefactors on a land area of about 2,000 m² donated by a local household.
Building a new school is not just about building classrooms, but also has great significance in Sala's journey: from healing the body to supporting knowledge, sharing the burden of lack of educational facilities in the highlands after many years. A new school means opening more doors for children in the highlands, so that they have the opportunity to go further than their own circumstances.

Mr. Le Hong Viet - Chairman of Kien Thiet Commune People's Committee said that the commune is particularly difficult, the school facilities are lacking. This project is extremely meaningful, not only helping teachers and students have a better place to teach but also contributing to the criteria of facilities in building new rural areas.
Associate Professor Nguyen Manh Khanh emphasized that over the past 15 years, thousands of patients have been examined, treated, and operated on locally or transferred to Viet Duc Hospital for further intervention. Each cured case not only brings a better quality of life to the patient but also opens up special opportunities for integration with difficult circumstances in remote, mountainous, and border areas. Sala's efforts have been recognized by the patient's family, the community, and all levels and sectors of the health sector./.
