Dao Thi Anh Thu is originally from Binh Dinh. When she was 1 year old, her family moved to Ho Chi Minh City to live. She is currently residing in Vinh Loc A Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. She is the third child in a family of 5 children. Anh Thu's father, Mr. Dao Truong Cao, is 55 years old and works as a hired tricycle driver. Thu's mother, Mrs. Phan Thi Thuy Phuong, is 54 years old. After many years of working as a factory worker, she is now retired due to poor health, taking care of housework and taking Anh Thu's younger siblings to school. Despite their difficult economic circumstances, Anh Thu's parents always prioritize their children's education. They always encourage their children to strive to study hard and have a decent job.

The second daughter graduated from Binh Duong University and is also an accountant in Binh Duong .
