Female boxer Ha Thi Linh won the world boxing bronze medal

(NLDO) – Unable to overcome Thai No. 1 seed Somnuek Thananya, Ha Thi Linh stopped at the semi-finals of the 63kg category of the 2025 World Women's Boxing Championship.

The match with the fateful opponent Somnuek Thananya is considered very difficult for "mother of two" Ha Thi Linh, who advanced to the semi-finals after two victories against opponents from Venezuela and Latvia.

As predicted by experts, Somnuek Thananya had an absolute advantage over the Vietnamese boxer and won 5-0 to advance to the final. The Vietnamese boxing team will participate in the 2025 Women's World Boxing Championship, taking place from March 8 to 17 in Serbia, with 8 members including Ngo Ngoc Linh Chi (48kg), Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran (50kg), Tran Thi To Nhu (52kg), Vo Thi Kim Anh (54kg), Nguyen Huyen Tran (57kg), Ngo Thi Mai Chuc (60kg), Ha Thi Linh (63kg) and Hoang Ngoc Mai (70kg).

The Vietnamese female athletes will compete with about 500 excellent boxers from 100 countries and territories.
