On the morning of July 14, the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City on the establishment of the Party Committee; appointing the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee Standing Committee, the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and the Party Committee Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cao Le, Deputy Head of the Party Organization Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies, announced the decision to establish the Party Committee and personnel decisions.
Accordingly, the Party Executive Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City consists of 15 members, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee consists of 5 members. Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City, was appointed as Deputy Secretary.
The Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City consists of 7 members. Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Van Tuan was appointed as Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan as Vice Chairman.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh said that the Party Committee of the National Assembly Delegation and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council were established under the new direction of the Central Government on the model of merging 3 localities. Most of the Executive Committee members are leaders of the Party Committees of the previous People's Councils in 3 localities, including leaders of the National Assembly Delegation.
Mr. Minh affirmed that the Party Committee will continue to unite and be unified to lead the National Assembly Delegation and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, and at the same time hope to receive support from the higher-level Party Committee in Party affairs and professional work to perform well the assigned tasks.
Mr. Vo Van Minh, 53 years old, has a master's degree in economics, electrical engineering, and a bachelor's degree in politics. Mr. Minh has held important positions in Binh Duong province such as Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the People's Committee of Di An town, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
From July 2021, Mr. Vo Van Minh was elected Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee. From early July 2025, Mr. Minh was appointed Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.
