Strive for 50% of elderly people to master basic digital skills

BPO - That is the goal set by the Provincial People's Committee for the period 2025-20230 in Plan No. 151/KH-UBND on implementing Decision No. 379/QD-TTg dated February 20, 2025 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Elderly people participating in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation" in Binh Phuoc province.

Accordingly, the specific goals for the 2025-2030 period include: Striving for 90% of cadres, members, and the elderly in the province to be educated and raise awareness about digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation. Striving for 50% of the elderly in the province to master basic digital skills, including: Online public services; online shopping; online payment, self-protection in cyberspace and use of other digital platforms depending on local characteristics. Planting at least 1 million trees, having at least 5 models for the elderly to collect and classify waste at source and 3 models of organic agricultural production and circular economy . The elderly are supported to start businesses and models of elderly startups. The elderly have jobs through models of elderly startups.

In the period of 2025-2030, strive for 90% of cadres, members, and the elderly in the province to be propagandized and raise awareness about digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation.

By 2035, strive for 100% of cadres, members, and the elderly in the province to be educated and have their awareness raised about digital transformation, green transformation, startups, and job creation. Strive for 70% of the elderly in the province to be proficient in basic digital skills, including: Online public services; online shopping; online payment, self-protection in cyberspace, and use of other digital platforms depending on local characteristics. Plant at least 1.5 million trees, have at least 10 models for the elderly to collect and classify waste at source, and 5 models of organic agricultural production and circular economy. The elderly are supported to start businesses and models of elderly startups. The elderly have jobs through models of elderly startups.

To achieve the above goals, the Provincial People's Committee has set out 5 main tasks and solutions. Specifically: Communicating to raise awareness among the elderly about digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation; the role and position of the elderly in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation for the sustainable development of the province. Improving the capacity of the team of officials implementing the plan and officials, members, and the elderly on digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation. Building a pilot model for the elderly to participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation. Scientific research and proposing policies to support the elderly. Promoting consulting and criticism activities; monitoring, supervising and evaluating the effectiveness of plan implementation.

The Provincial People's Committee requires the implementation of the project to be consistent with the process of digital transformation, green transformation, startups and job creation in the current context, ensuring feasibility, inheriting and promoting practical results, and being suitable to the conditions of the province.
