Phan Thiet: Support 55 million VND to help poor women build new and repair houses

Accordingly, the Association has awarded 30 million VND in support to 2 cases of building new houses, including: Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (near-poor household, Ward 2, Duc Long Ward) received 20 million VND and Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Hien (near-poor household, Ward 4, Xuan An Ward) received 10 million VND. 2 cases of house repair were supported with 25 million VND: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh's household (poor household, Ward 6, Lac Dao Ward) received 15 million VND; the remaining Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh's household (poor household, Ward 7, Duc Long Ward) was supported with 10 million VND, which will be awarded this April.

The total budget to support 4 poor women’s households to build new houses or repair their houses is 55 million VND. The budget is drawn from the “Shelter of Trust” Fund of the City Women’s Union, with the fund mobilized from contributions and support from members and benefactors to accompany women in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Dieu - President of the Women's Union of Phan Thiet City said: "We hope that every support, no matter how small, can contribute to helping members stabilize their lives, have a safer and more stable home so that they can work and raise their children with peace of mind."

In addition to the funding to support new construction and repair in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the city according to regulations, this timely support has contributed to sharing more with poor women to have more spacious and complete houses.
