Qualitative analysis of 323 vegetable and fruit samples

Statistics in 2023, Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development qualitatively analyzed 323 samples of vegetables, tubers, fruits, strawberries, durian, and avocado.

Results: 320/323 samples were safe (accounting for 99.07%); 3/323 samples exceeded the prescribed threshold (accounting for 0.93%).

At the same time, the Department also conducted 19 rounds of 357 monitoring samples. Of which, through quantitative analysis, 5/278 plant-based samples failed (1.79%); 17 ham samples contained sodium benzoate; 1 honey sample detected the active ingredient Carbendazim; 3/30 seafood samples detected the active ingredient Trichlorfon.

After receiving the sample analysis results, Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requested to trace the origin and recall the unsafe food products; and notify local authorities to take appropriate control measures.
