Launching the 2nd "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest.

In 2024, the competition was held for the second time, launched on a nationwide scale to attract the participation of numerous authors from all over the country.

On the morning of March 20th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and other relevant agencies, organized the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam 2024." This is one of the key activities in the series of media events and exhibitions on human rights in Vietnam in 2024. The contest was launched nationwide to attract participation from a large number of authors from all over the country. Authors, both professional and amateur, Vietnamese and foreign, residing in Vietnam or abroad, are welcome to participate. The goal of the contest is to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories in all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural, and social life through photographic and video works, vividly affirming the achievements Vietnam has made in the field of human rights. The competition also aims to mobilize the combined strength of all sectors of the population at home, the Vietnamese community abroad, and international friends in communicating and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to the world, affirming to the world that Vietnam is a peaceful, beautiful, dynamically developing, and happy country. The submitted works should have high promotional value, showcasing the image of Vietnam and its people, cultural values, and natural beauty throughout the country; arousing national pride and aspirations for development in all sectors of the population to work together to build a more prosperous, thriving, and happy Vietnam. The works must truthfully and vividly reflect the achievements in all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural, and social life, especially in the process of reform, development, and international integration. The competition aims to convey valuable knowledge, attract strong public interest, and have a wide reach both domestically and internationally. According to the organizers, entries must have been created between January 1, 2022, and the submission date, and must not have been previously submitted to or won any awards at any other competitions or exhibitions. Approximately 100-150 entries that reach the final round will be selected by the organizers for exhibition to serve foreign information dissemination both domestically and internationally. Each competition category has the following prizes and prize values: - 1 Gold Medal: 70 million VND - 2 Silver Medals: 20 million VND - 3 Bronze Medals: 10 million VND - 10 Encouragement Prizes: 5 million VND - 1 Most Voted Entry: 5 million VND.
