The 4th ASEAN Graphic Arts Competition and Exhibition – Vietnam 2024 is an opportunity for Vietnamese and ASEAN artists to exchange and introduce new achievements in graphic creation; introduce the culture, country and people of each country in a united and dynamic community. This is also an artistic activity to enhance understanding and solidarity of ASEAN, and at the same time an opportunity for the Vietnamese public to enjoy selected graphic works by contemporary ASEAN artists.
Authors who are citizens of ASEAN countries can participate. The works must be about life, people, natural landscapes, peaceful countries, solidarity, cooperation, friendship and contemporary life issues of ASEAN countries.
In particular, works that meet the competition requirements must be printed graphics, belonging to the following categories: Relief prints (wood engraving, rubber engraving, cover engraving and other relief printing techniques); intaglio prints (metal engraving, mica engraving, film engraving, photosensitive intaglio, collagraph); flat prints (lithography, metal litho, wood litho); transparencies (screen printing, stencil printing); monoprints; prints using other techniques (cyanotype, gumprint, digital printing); multi-dimensional prints (print installation, print book art, multi-layer prints).
The participating works must have been created from 2020 to present. Each author can submit up to 3 works; send photos of the works to email [email protected], from now until August 5.
The 4th ASEAN Graphic Arts Exhibition is expected to open in December at the Hai Phong Museum (Hai Phong). The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will present awards, including 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, and 7 Consolation Prizes.
According to the Organizing Committee, the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) has sent invitations and information launching the contest to the embassies of ASEAN countries in Vietnam and the Ministries of Culture and art training institutions of ASEAN countries to attract artists to actively create and participate in this activity.
