Launching the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025

On the morning of April 16, at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, the Departmentof Education and Training held the launching ceremony of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 in educational institutions in the province.

This year is the fourth year that the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training has organized the launching ceremony of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. The Department of Education and Training requests educational units to promote information and propaganda about the purpose and significance of Book and Reading Culture Day. Commend and promote collectives and individuals with many achievements in building and developing a reading culture, lifelong learning movement and building a learning society.

Strengthen coordination and connection between school libraries and provincial libraries, public libraries, and book clubs. Organize competitions, contests, games, exchanges, seminars, talks, discussions, introductions, and learning about books; launch a movement to circulate books, newspapers, documents, and display and introduce books. Donate books to support bookcases for children in difficult circumstances, and build "School Bookcases".

Promote the application of information technology, optimize technology platforms, digital transformation, contribute to improving the quality of library operations as well as reading activities of educational institutions; increase the exploitation of digital learning materials, electronic books and newspapers, electronic libraries, online libraries, meeting the management, teaching and learning needs of staff, teachers and students.

On this occasion, the Provincial Museum - Library and Tan Viet Bookstore presented hundreds of books to teachers and students of Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted. Dr. Nguyen Cong Hinh, former Director of the Department of Continuing Education, Ministry of Education and Training and speaker Kim Thoa had a talk with students on the value of early reading, students and reading culture in the digital age.
