Launching "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" and giving away great solidarity houses

BPO - On the morning of May 19, Military Hospital 16 (Army Corps 16) held a launching ceremony for the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in 2025. This is a meaningful event to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the hospital, said: Following President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching "For the benefit of ten years, we must plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, we must cultivate people", in recent years, the hospital has always identified the planting, care and protection of trees as an important task associated with the movement "Building and managing a regular, green, clean and beautiful unit". Each tree planted today is a specific action, a strong message about protection, sustainable development and creating a healthy working environment.

The Board of Directors, officers, doctors, and staff of the departments and boards of Military Hospital 16 planted trees right after the ceremony.

With the theme “Solidarity, for a green world ”, right after the launching ceremony, members of the Party Committee, Board of Directors of Military Hospital 16, together with officers, doctors, and staff of departments and offices planted many types of trees including Lagerstroemia, Royal Poinciana, and Euphorbia… in the hospital grounds.

The tree planting activity contributes to raising the responsibility of all hospital staff for environmental protection; at the same time, contributing to raising awareness and consciousness of medical staff, patients and relatives in preserving and protecting the landscape.

* Practically celebrating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, on the morning of May 19, Army Corps 16 coordinated with the Dong Tam commune government, Dong Phu district to inaugurate and hand over 2 solidarity houses to households with housing difficulties.

2 solidarity houses were handed over to the family of Mrs. Le Thi Hai in Hamlet 5 and Mr. Dieu Vien in Hamlet 1, Dong Tam commune. The completed house has a solid structure, has 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, and a private bathroom with a total value of more than 100 million VND. Of which, Army Corps 16 supported the construction cost of 60 million VND/house, Dong Tam Commune Fund for the Poor supported 10 million VND/house. The remaining amount was contributed by the family and relatives to make the house more spacious.

Representatives of the "Fund for the Poor" Campaign Committee of the army corps and local authorities presented gifts to 2 families.

At the house handover ceremony, the "Fund for the Poor" of the army corps gave each household a gift worth 1 million VND and supported 2 families to buy additional household appliances and equipment for daily life.

Since the beginning of 2025, Corps 16 has supported funding to build and hand over 9 solidarity houses (7 from Binh Phuoc province and 2 from Dak Nong province). This is also one of the activities that the Corps is interested in and focuses on in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to help people in difficult circumstances in the area stabilize their housing and promote the construction of new rural areas in the locality.
