At the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, said that in recent times, theeducation sector has strongly implemented communication activities, raised awareness, innovated the form and content of propaganda in a modern direction, applied technology and spread green lifestyle, especially towards the young generation in changing behavior and protecting the environment.
Many environmental education contents have been included in the curriculum at all levels through movements such as "Building green, clean, beautiful schools" and "Schools without plastic waste" which have spread and proven effective.

In order to respond widely to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc requested educational institutions nationwide to strengthen innovation in communication and propaganda on environmental protection; incorporate environmental education into the main curriculum and extracurricular activities, promote the model of "schools without plastic waste"; take practical actions and make green commitments not to use plastic bags and disposable plastic products...
With a sense of responsibility, creativity and determination, the education sector continues to promote its pioneering role, raising awareness, promoting action for the environment, towards a Vietnam without plastic waste - a green future - a sustainable planet.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, the city considers environmental protection a pillar of development, with many solutions such as: green space planning, waste treatment, reducing single-use plastics, sorting waste at source, promoting circular economy . Recently, Da Nang committed to implementing the "Clean Blue Cities" initiative with Southeast Asian cities, aiming to reduce 50% of plastic waste into the ocean by 2030. In the coming time, Da Nang will continue to accompany schools, organizations and communities to implement environmental initiatives, improve capacity to respond to climate change, and build a green and sustainable learning society.
Within the framework of the event, there are many creative activities such as: Exhibition of recycled products, awarding green initiatives, student commitment forum...
On this occasion, the organizing committee awarded prizes for the contest "Building videos and clips to protect the environment, classify waste and reduce plastic waste" launched by Dong Thap University in collaboration with Da Nang University.
