Man's body found in irrigation pond

On October 31, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Tuong Commune (Quang Ngai) Ung Dinh Hien informed that the local government had handed over the body of the man discovered in Dong Trieu field, Thanh Thuy village, Van Tuong commune, to his family for funeral arrangements.

The victim was Mr. N.D.T (64 years old), residing in Hoa Thuan village, Dong Son commune, Quang Ngai province.

Previously, at around 1:00 p.m. on October 30, people discovered Mr. T's body lying face down, floating on the water surface in the pond area dug to store water for irrigation of onions, in Dong Trieu field.

Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities coordinated with functional forces to quickly approach the scene, conduct an autopsy to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.

Chairman of Van Tuong Commune People's Committee Ung Dinh Hien informed that Mr. T. left home a few days ago and his family could not contact him. According to initial assessment, it is possible that Mr. T.'s body was weak and weak, so when he passed by this area, he slipped and fell into the water pond, leading to a tragic drowning. The locality sent a delegation to visit, encourage and share the loss with Mr. N.D.T.'s family.
