
Visiting Mr. A Ba's family (Lang Moi village) - a household that suffered heavy losses due to landslides, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung sympathized with the losses and difficulties of the family as well as many other households in the village. The Deputy Prime Minister gave gifts to encourage Mr. A Ba's family to overcome difficulties soon; requested the local authorities to promptly review and have plans to support the family as well as households that suffered losses due to floods and landslides.
After inspecting the landslide site in Lang Moi village, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung worked with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Ngoc Linh commune.
Mr. A Phuong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ngoc Linh Commune, said that the recent days of prolonged rain have caused serious landslides in all 22 villages. Many livestock, poultry, and crops were swept away. Landslides have caused serious damage to infrastructure.
The most serious landslide occurred in Lang Moi village (October 28) which isolated 5 villages including Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Xa Ua, Ngoc Lan, and Tu Rang. Up to now, after 4 days, the landslide has not been repaired, seriously affecting the lives and production of 430 households in 5 villages with more than 1,700 people.
Mr. A Phuong proposed that the Government and the Provincial People's Committee promptly provide financial support for the locality to overcome landslides and assist the affected people to stabilize their lives soon. In addition, the authorities should promptly support the commune to overcome landslides and major infrastructure damage.

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province to immediately direct the implementation of relief work for people in areas severely affected by landslides and quickly repair infrastructure in localities in the province.
Sharing with the Party Committee and authorities of Ngoc Linh commune for their efforts to overcome the consequences of the landslide, the Deputy Prime Minister directed the functional forces to coordinate with the commune authorities to urgently provide relief and bring food to isolated villages to rescue people.
In addition to local resources, assistance from the military is needed to ensure that people do not go hungry or thirsty. In the shortest time, the locality must have solutions to overcome landslides, solve travel problems for people, and ensure learning conditions for children.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the police force to warn and strictly prohibit people from traveling to dangerous landslide areas in Lang Moi village. The People's Committee of Ngoc Linh commune needs to immediately count the damage to houses, livestock, and poultry, and develop a plan to support the people; at the same time, have a plan to restore production and bring children back to school soon.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung presented many gifts, encouraging Ngoc Linh people to soon overcome difficulties caused by floods and landslides.
