Dien Bien is a province with great potential for tourism development, especially historical tourism, with 45 sites ranked as special national relics; this is one of the invaluable resources not only of Dien Bien province but also of the whole of Vietnam. These historical sites are of interest to Dien Bien province to preserve and protect, promoting historical values for tourism development.
Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum is one of the historical tourism highlights of Dien Bien province, where nearly 1000 documents and artifacts are preserved. In particular, the Panorama Painting built at the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum is a giant painting recreating the Dien Bien Phu campaign with many cultural values, a place to honor the historical value of the famous victory that shook the world, and is one of the extremely meaningful destinations for every tourist when coming to Dien Bien.
