Promoting the spirit of fun - health - solidarity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Running Club won a medal at the 2025 Francophone Run

On March 29, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Running Club participated in the Francophone Run co-organized by the International Organization of Francophone (OIF), the Francophone University Organization (AUF), the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Organizations in Hanoi (GADIF).

At the race, 15 athletes demonstrated the results of their accumulated training, unanimously choosing the 10km distance (the longest distance of the race) and completing the race to win medals. Runner Nguyen Thanh Tung was the member with the best performance of the club, finishing with a time of 44 minutes, ranking 11th out of more than 250 athletes participating in this distance and 5 other members also had outstanding results when completing the race in under an hour.

Welcoming the club members at the finish line were the Union President Nguyen Ngoc Thuy and other union members. This was a great encouragement for the participants in the race in particular and the running club in general, as the Union has always accompanied and supported them in many activities since its establishment.

Following this event, the Foreign Ministry Running Club will organize a race as part of the sports week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic Sector on April 20. The race is expected to have 2 competitions (7.5km individual and 2.5km individual/family) with many surprise prizes for the participating athletes. The event will continue to promote the Club's activities, as well as strengthen the solidarity and friendship of union members in the Ministry, towards a happy day for the whole Sector.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Running Club (Mofa Runners) was granted the Establishment Decision by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union on May 27, 2021 with more than 130 members from all domestic and foreign units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the motto of fun - healthy - cohesive activities, the Club always promotes the spirit of cooperation and exchange in many sporting events taking place at home and abroad.

The Club always supports sports activities organized by partners of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs such as the Francophone Running Season organized by the French Embassy, ​​"Run for Love" organized by Vietnam Airlines and friendly races between ministries, departments and branches to maintain and promote good friendship in sports with partners of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
