With an organizational structure in 9/9 districts, towns, cities, 168 communes, wards, and townships, the Yen Bai Provincial Women's Union has over 176,000 members. As a large force, participating in many fields from rural to urban areas, from housework to leadership and management, women are always one of the active forces fighting against distorted, false, and hostile arguments, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation. However, there are still some women who are limited in terms of qualifications, lack of social experience; have unstable political awareness and stance and ideology; are afraid to participate in community activities...
These are characteristics that are easily exploited by hostile forces to carry out the plot of " Peaceful Evolution" to sabotage our Party and State. In that situation, implementing the content of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, participating in protecting national security, building a strong organization, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has focused on propaganda activities, training to improve the capacity of the Union's cadres, members, and women; at the same time, strengthening care for members, women...
In propaganda work, all levels of the union promote propaganda on the Internet, social networks, in branch and group activities; meetings, exchanges... to mobilize cadres and members to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. In 2024, the Provincial Women's Union posted over 165 articles, documents, images, and clips on the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; the development achievements of the country and the locality; all levels of the union organized 575 propaganda activities with the participation of over 46,000 female members.
In addition, with a network of over 120 Facebook social networking sites and over 180 Zalo groups from the province to the grassroots level, the association at all levels regularly posts news, articles, and images about official information, refuting false and malicious information spreading on cyberspace; tricks and ways to prevent crimes in the new situation, and fraud on cyberspace; thereby, raising awareness for cadres, members, and women to be vigilant, not to be taken advantage of, or lured into participating in illegal activities.
Also in 2024, the association at all levels organized 116 policy dialogues at the commune and village cluster levels on issues directly related to women and children such as fraud in cyberspace; human trafficking, abuse of women and children, traffic safety; early marriage; population and health policies; vocational training, job creation; supporting women in economic development; building prosperous, equal, progressive, happy families, promoting gender equality; preserving cultural identity...
At the same time, the association at all levels maintains the operation of 877 self-management groups in the community with 13,460 members, contributing to grasping public opinion, exchanging, verifying, reflecting and promptly handling situations arising at the grassroots level.
With the motto "using beauty to eliminate ugliness", all levels of the association promote the dissemination of typical examples, good people and good deeds to create a wide spread among cadres, members and women. In 2024, all levels of the association discovered, nurtured and introduced 333 advanced models in various fields; actively introduced and spread typical women in all fields.
In addition to training activities to improve the capacity of the Union's cadres, members and women on issues of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation, the Provincial Women's Union also focuses on improving the capacity to apply information technology, digital transformation and cyber safety skills through training courses on cyber security, building a digital communication network and preventing high-tech crimes...
The association levels have also actively and proactively implemented the breakthrough "Focusing on building a strong association base" and made efforts to implement many solutions to train and introduce outstanding members to the Party.
In 2024, the association at all levels introduced 716 outstanding members for the Party to consider and train; of which, 572 women were admitted to the Party. The association at all levels also carried out many activities to carry out social security work, taking care of the lives of members and women such as paying attention to and supporting families with preferential policies, families in difficult circumstances, and families affected by natural disasters and floods.
Last year, the association at all levels donated money and gifts worth 2.6 billion VND to members and women in difficult circumstances; sponsored 21 more orphans with a total cost of 700 million VND; supported 212 livestock livelihood models worth nearly 2.3 billion VND; supported the renovation and repair of 30 "Shelters of Love" for members and poor women worth 1.18 billion VND; especially, mobilized support for families affected by storm No. 3 with over 33 billion VND, 20 tons of food, necessities, etc.
The diverse and rich activities of the association at all levels have been contributing to the active implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws; improving political capacity, theoretical level and strengthening vigilance against the plots of hostile forces; at the same time, fostering pride and love for the homeland and country; trust in the Party and State; spirit and awareness to actively participate and contribute to the common development of the locality in all fields among cadres, association members and women.
To further promote the role of women in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, according to the Provincial Women's Union, all levels of the union, cadres, members and women need to continue to thoroughly grasp the importance of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fight against erroneous and hostile views, continue to resolutely and persistently effectively implement the main tasks and solutions set forth in Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo, clearly recognizing that this is a political task that is both urgent, regular and long-term, not only the work of Party and State agencies but also of the entire political system, the responsibility of all cadres, party members, members, women and people; focus on effectively implementing the theme of all levels of the union in 2025, which is "Promoting the role of women in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system, ready to enter a new era, an era of national development".
The association levels will also diversify the content, methods and forms of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views at many levels, suitable for each object, each field and level of members and women; build information channels with content that closely follows reality, widely propagate the country's development achievements, building and defending the Fatherland, the political, economic and social orientations and tasks of the country and localities with the motto "using beauty to eliminate ugliness"; actively discover and replicate good models, innovative, creative and effective ways of doing things, good people, good deeds, typical advanced examples; reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views.
