Approval of project for tourist transport service by open-top bus in Hue

On January 29, the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province announced that Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong has just signed a decision approving the project for tourist transport service by open-top bus in the province.

Accordingly, the project of tourist transport service by open-top bus in Thua Thien - Hue province is implemented by Hanoi Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company in Hue city and surrounding areas.

The objective of the research project on transporting tourists by open-top buses is to serve the sightseeing needs of domestic and international tourists, aiming to increase the attractiveness and develop the tourism industry of Thua Thien - Hue province; In line with the policies and orientations of the Government, Thua Thien - Hue province and the tourism development trend in the new period.

The project of tourist transport service by open-top bus in Thua Thien - Hue province has just been approved, including 2 routes, of which route H1 has a length of 34km along a circular route, route H2 has a length of 10km along a circular route.

Regarding frequency, based on the assessment of the characteristics of demand for time for sightseeing and traveling at each stop so that passengers have enough time to return and take the next bus, the operating frequency is about 30-60 minutes/trip.

Operating hours during the day for summer are from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, winter from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. In addition, the unit serves tourists under contract; Extending passenger service hours for holidays, Tet and days with special events.

The project also clearly states the scale and form of investment, specifically investing in vehicles and infrastructure to transport tourists in Hue City by single-deck, open-roof cars and implementing 100% socialization. The State does not subsidize ticket prices for tourists visiting Hue City and surrounding areas.

The number of vehicles in operation is from 3-5, 100% new vehicles, the first phase will use 3 vehicles; each vehicle has a capacity of 24 passengers (20 seats, 4 standing). The number of stops, shelters, and signs is expected to be about 15 points and single-deck, open-roof cars can use the stops and shelters of the bus system on the route.

During the implementation process, the State management agency will adjust the locations of the starting and ending points to suit the actual situation based on the investor's request...

According to the recently approved decision, route H1 with the following route: Toa Kham boat station - Le Loi street - Truong Tien bridge - Tran Hung Dao street - Dong Ba market - Tran Hung Dao street - Ngan gate - Ong Ich Khiem street - Doan Thi Diem - Dang Thai Than - Le Huan - Ong Ich Khiem - Nguyen Trai (Nha Do gate) - Le Duan - Kim Long - Nguyen Phuc Nguyen - Thien Mu pagoda - Nguyen Phuc Nguyen street - Kim Long - Da Vien bridge - Bui Thi Xuan street - Dien Bien Phu - Le Ngo Cat - Huyen Tran Princess (Huong village) - Doan Nhu Hai (Tu Duc tomb) - Doan Nhu Hai - Huyen Tran Princess - Le Ngo Cat - Minh Mang - QL49 - Khai Dinh (Thien An hill & Khai Dinh tomb) - Khai Dinh - QL49 - Minh Mang - Ngu Binh (Nam Giao altar) - Phan Boi Chau - Le Loi (Hue National School) - Toa Kham boat station.

Route H2 with route: Toa Kham boat station - Le Loi street - Truong Tien bridge - Tran Hung Dao street - Dong Ba market - Tran Hung Dao street - Ngan gate - Ong Ich Khiem street - Doan Thi Diem - Dang Thai Than - Le Huan - Ong Ich Khiem - Nguyen Trai (Nha Do gate) - Le Duan street - Da Vien bridge - Bui Thi Xuan street - Ga bridge - Le Loi street - Hanoi (Vincom Plaza Hue) - Ben Nghe - Doi Cung - Toa Kham boat station.

Previously, from August 2022, Vietnam - Hanoi Tourism Joint Stock Company (Vietnamtoursims Hanoi) organized a pilot open-top double-decker bus service under the brand name City Sightseeing Hue to serve tourists in Hue.
