Behind the story of going to the toilet for 6,000 VND, also issuing a value-added invoice

Facebook is spreading a value-added invoice and the invoice was generated from the cash register of Son Long Company Limited in Long Bien District ( Hanoi ) for only 6,000 VND (including 8% VAT) for a one-day cleaning service for 2 people. The invoice was issued on June 6, 2025.

According to research, Son Long Company Limited is the investor of Son Long Market Trade Center in Ninh Hiep, Gia Lam district (Hanoi).

Confirming with VietNamNet reporter on the morning of June 10, Ms. Lam Giang, accountant of Son Long Company Limited, said that the 6,000 VND value-added invoice was indeed the invoice that the company had issued to the customer.

“Up until now, businesses have been issuing invoices normally, but for cleaning services, they issue invoices daily, and for parking services, they issue invoices monthly. However, now that regulations are implemented electronically, businesses issue invoices for each customer,” Ms. Giang informed.

According to Ms. Giang, the nature of issuing invoices is the same, only different in form, but businesses spend more money when having to buy more invoices.

“If we issue cleaning invoices daily, we only need a few invoices per day, but if we issue invoices in batches, we will have to issue that many invoices per day for hundreds of customers. In addition, the business will incur additional costs for printing paper, printer depreciation, and time spent on issuing hundreds of invoices per day,” said the company’s accountant.

Enterprises have always wanted to do things correctly and accurately according to regulations, but when they do it directly, they see that many problems arise.

“The company invested in a good network system but it still has intermittent and unstable issues. The supplier’s machine connecting to the invoice software is not working smoothly. Meanwhile, the workers are old so operating the machines is difficult and editing invoices is almost impossible,” Ms. Giang shared the actual process.

From June 1, according to regulations, businesses must use electronic invoices generated from cash registers connected to tax authorities. Ms. Giang said that Son Long Company had to invest in 3 more cash registers for the restroom, parking lot and accounting department.

Along with that, there are additional costs for buying paper to print, invoices and internet fees. The initial investment cost is about 40 million VND, not to mention the monthly expenses.

“In the past, businesses only spent 300 VND per day to issue an invoice, but now with the number of invoices per day ranging from several hundred to thousands, businesses spend an additional several hundred thousand VND per day to issue invoices for parking and cleaning services,” said Ms. Giang.

Besides, according to Ms. Giang, printing hundreds of invoices every day can also cause environmental pollution and waste when it has to be applied everywhere.

Business households struggling with electronic invoices from cash registers: Should delay for 3 months, should not fine yetIf after the period of guidance and implementation of the application of electronic invoices generated from cash registers, business households still deliberately do not implement, then sanctions should be applied.
