Tunnels: The Sun in the Dark by director Bui Thac Chuyen, about the indomitable fighting spirit of the Cu Chi soldiers and civilians, has earned more than 162 billion VND since its premiere on April 4, a record for revolutionary war films. The film crew confirmed that the special edition will be shown on April 30. Director Bui Thac Chuyen said the new version was partly remade based on audience feedback, adding more details about the lives of guerrillas in the tunnels.
