On the afternoon of June 13, in Ba Ria City, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau held the second workshop to discuss solutions for specialized management and provision of medical services after the merger.
Opinions at the workshop all affirmed that calculating working plans, ensuring medical examination and treatment, and providing public services to people and businesses is "very urgent" because the time for merger is only a matter of days.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health - said that the city's health sector has to handle over 30,000 public administrative records each year. Therefore, what needs to be done right now is to synchronize the system of receiving - processing - returning results as well as maintaining reception at 3 focal points but must synchronize 1 form, 1 process.
Also implement the authorization mechanism.

At the same time, it is recommended that the city's health sector pay more attention to emergency care, have professional activities on digital transformation, technology infrastructure as well as disease prevention. In addition, it is necessary to implement 3 industry breakthroughs in institutions, public investment and human resources to improve capacity and expand coverage.
"We must ensure that no functions or tasks are left out, and that there are no legal gaps when merging, restructuring, and integrating for shared use among units," Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc noted.
Regarding the orientation for the coming days, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested smooth operation, practice, "load testing" and thoroughly handle the backlog. At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City health sector was required to take the lead in forecasting how many tasks were stuck and causing obstacles in order to have a proposal for handling.
