On November 23, the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Student Union, term 2025-2028 was a great success. In the 2023-2025 term, the Vinh Long Student Union has gathered students from Vinh Long studying at Can Tho University to strive and make efforts to excel in their studies and training, participating in building an increasingly strong and united Union.
Notably, in the "5 Good Students" movement, 100% of members participated well, fully and seriously in the first political activities of the semester and did not violate school regulations or State laws.

In addition, members and students have actively studied, created and conducted scientific research; thereby, there were 86 scientific research topics chaired by members and students.
Volunteering for community life, members and students have donated over 200 units of blood; nearly 1,000 members and students have participated in volunteer programs and activities in the locality. As a result, over 446 individuals have achieved the title of "5 Good Students" at school and city levels; 2 individuals have achieved the title of "5 Good Students" at the Central level. Building a strong student association, 185 groups and 1,064 outstanding individuals have been awarded...
With the slogan of action: "Vinh Long Students - Solidarity, Courage, Learning, Creativity, Volunteering, Integration, Development, Training", in the 2025-2028 term, Vinh Long Student Union strives for 100% of its affiliated units to implement the "5 Good Students" movement every year; organize at least 5 activities to educate ethics, cultural lifestyle and raise students' awareness in learning about national history and culture; organize at least 5 activities and movements to encourage, create conditions and environments to help students in studying, scientific research...
The congress elected 15 members of the Executive Committee of the Vinh Long Student Union for the 2025-2028 term. Vo Thanh Dat was elected as the Union President.

Comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the efforts in studying and training of students from Vinh Long who are studying at Can Tho University in the past time. At the same time, she encouraged and expected that the students will continue to promote the spirit of creativity and responsibility of youth, equipping them with solid knowledge so that after graduation, they can return to serve their home province, contributing to the province's rapid and sustainable development in the coming time.
In order to promptly support and encourage students from Vinh Long with difficult circumstances who are studying well at Can Tho University, at the congress, the Standing Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee mobilized to award 90 scholarships to the students. Each scholarship is worth 2 million VND.
