Also attending were comrades Nguyen Van Loi, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation; Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; leaders of departments and branches, and representatives of Binh Duong Water and Environment Corporation (BIWASE) and Vietnam Waste Treatment Company Limited.

The delegation conducted a field survey at the Nam Binh Duong Waste Treatment Complex, including areas for receiving, processing, recycling, incineration for power generation, finished brick areas, water filtration, etc.
According to BIWASE's report, the company operates in the following main business areas: Production and trading of clean water; Collection, transportation, and treatment of garbage; and wastewater treatment.

In the field of water supply, the unit is currently managing 9 water plants in Binh Duong (formerly), and participating in the operation of over 17 water plants in many provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Long An, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Quang Binh (according to the old administrative boundaries).
Regarding the environment, BIWASE is operating a 100-hectare waste treatment area with a capacity of 2,800 tons of waste per day; along with 4 domestic wastewater treatment plants with a capacity of 90,000m³/day.

After being sorted, household waste is recycled into organic fertilizer (Binh Duong Elephant brand); the rest is burned, and the ash and slag continue to be used to make environmentally friendly construction materials such as unburnt bricks, construction bricks, recycled concrete, etc. The total investment capital to date is estimated at about 1,000 billion VND.

The operation of 4 wastewater treatment plants has contributed to improving the water environment quality in canals, streams and ditches in the area; contributing to reducing pollution in canals, especially the Saigon River and Dong Nai River, gradually improving the quality of water sources serving clean water supply for Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas.
However, BIWASE is still facing many difficulties and problems, such as: no cost norms for treatment stages and maintenance service activities of the factory, no approval for drainage service prices for the factories, leading to the inability to organize operational bidding. In addition, the propaganda work for people to connect to the wastewater system is still limited due to high costs and lack of binding legal regulations.
On the same afternoon, the National Assembly Supervisory Delegation is expected to work with leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and departments.
