On the afternoon of November 22, during a working trip to Dong Thap province, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan visited and learned about the activities of Kim Phat High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative in An Thanh Thuy commune.

Mr. Ngo Hung Vu, Technical Director of the Cooperative, said that Kim Phat Cooperative was established in 2024 and currently has 50 members. With the mission of creating high-quality seedlings using modern tissue culture technology, the Cooperative has successfully propagated more than 30 types of plants, including MD2 pineapple, chrysanthemum, orchid, biomass bamboo and many types of ornamental foliage plants. On average, each month, the Cooperative produces more than 1 million seedlings, of which the main variety is MD2 pineapple, supplying the markets of Dong Thap, the Central region and the Central Highlands.
In addition to producing seedlings, Kim Phat Cooperative also cooperates with businesses and gardeners to build a raw material area that meets export standards with 100 hectares of coconut and 50 hectares of green-skin pomelo. However, the cooperative representative also requested the province to support preferential loans and facilities to expand production scale.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ngo Chi Cuong highly appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit associated with high technology of Kim Phat Cooperative. He said that the direction of the Cooperative is consistent with the direction of scientific development and innovation of the province. He suggested that the local government coordinate with departments and branches to advise the Provincial Party Committee to soon deploy practical support solutions.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan praised the spirit of “dare to think, dare to do” of the cooperative, and emphasized: “Starting a business is a journey, not a destination”. He suggested that the cooperative focus on building a long-term development strategy, strengthening communication connections to promote activities, attract investment, and at the same time hoped that the locality would consider Kim Phat Cooperative as “an address to inspire start-ups” for the young farming community.

Attending the National Great Unity Day in Ngu Hiep commune
Previously, on the morning of November 22, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan, along with the National Assembly delegation and leaders of Dong Thap province, attended the National Great Unity Day at Hoa Hao hamlet, Ngu Hiep commune.
Hoa Hao Hamlet has 530 households with more than 2,000 people, 80% of whose livelihoods depend on agricultural production, mainly specialized durian. Last year, people contributed more than 2.5 billion VND to dredge canals, build and repair inter-hamlet roads. Up to now, 96.6% of households have met the Cultural Family standard, the average income is 75 million VND/person/year, only 1 poor household remains.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the achievements of the people, praising the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity in economic development. He said: "Let's be good farmers, be good in the production process, in the way of thinking and behaving to create good products for the community."
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly presented 50 gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented 10 gifts to policy households; and the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee presented gifts to the Hoa Hao Hamlet Front Working Committee.
