Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong inspected the progress of the Quang Tri Industrial Park project.
Quang Tri Industrial Park project started construction in December 2023 by Quang Tri Development Joint Venture Company Limited (QTIP).
Currently, QTIP has selected a contractor and negotiated and signed a construction contract. Construction of the ground leveling and technical infrastructure of the Industrial Park Phase 1 will begin at the end of April 2024. For the centralized wastewater treatment plant, ground leveling will begin at the end of April 2024. After completion, construction of the wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 4,000m3/day and night will be carried out.
Regarding site clearance, a decision has been made to reclaim 96.01/96.05ha of land; the remaining 0.04ha of residential land, although the people have agreed, is still stuck on land reclamation and land allocation for religious purposes to clans, so the People's Committee of Hai Lang district is studying legal regulations for appraisal and approval; 439/444 tombs and graves have been relocated. 31/39 households have cleared and relocated their houses; 8 households have had decisions approving the compensation and support plan but have not received the money. The People's Committee of Hai Lang district continues to propagate and mobilize people to agree on the compensation and support plan to complete the handover of the site in April 2024.
In addition, the project is still facing some difficulties: The traffic connection to National Highway 1A needs to be reviewed and assessed for the impact and overlap of the parking lane on the roadside and land of the Dai Nam - Ong Bien Organic Agricultural Products Processing Factory project; Regarding the licensing of the final section of the sewer line leading treated wastewater to the discharge point at Ben Da River, which is outside the scope of the Industrial Park (280m), the authority has not been determined; The water supply system for the Industrial Park is still stuck and has not been deployed in a timely manner...
QTIP recommends that the province direct the handling of the above-mentioned problems in site clearance, and at the same time proposes to add a plan to bring water from the N2A canal into the Industrial Park and some other related contents.

During the inspection trip, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong assigned the People's Committee of Hai Lang district to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to focus on resolving existing problems and difficulties to hand over the entire phase 1 site to QTIP in April 2024.
Regarding the plan to supply water from N2A Canal to the Industrial Park, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and study the plan to adjust N2A Canal through the Industrial Park in accordance with the overall planning of the Industrial Park, in accordance with legal regulations; increase the efficiency of using the canal; propose the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct the implementation.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested QTIP to develop a plan and overall construction schedule for phase 1 to ensure feasibility, mobilize human resources, materials, equipment and other necessary conditions to focus on construction of main construction items in April 2024. The Provincial Economic Zone Management Board is responsible for urging and supervising QTIP to implement the plan and construction schedule; weekly report the construction results to the Provincial People's Committee Office to report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee for timely consideration and direction.
