Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee visited Team K92 on duty in the Kingdom of Cambodia

(PLVN) - On May 7 and 8, a delegation of officials from the Kien Giang Provincial Task Force led by Mr. Le Trung Ho - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Kien Giang Provincial Task Force visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of Team K92 (Kien Giang Provincial Military Command) who are performing the task of searching for, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia (dry season 2024-2025).

The delegation visited the working group of Team K92, which is stationed on duty in Koh Kong and Kampot provinces, Kingdom of Cambodia. Accompanying the delegation was Colonel Huynh Van Khoi - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Command of Kien Giang province.

Receiving and working with the delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung - Captain of Team K92, Kien Giang Provincial Military Command reported on the implementation of the task of searching, collecting and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Kampot province. Currently, Team K92 has recovered 12 sets of remains of martyrs (9 sets from Kampot province, 1 set from Preah Shihanouk province and 1 set from Koh Kong province). During the implementation of the task, despite many difficulties such as prolonged hot weather, lack of fresh water for daily use, complicated epidemic situation, incomplete information about martyrs' graves, etc., the officers and soldiers are still highly determined, making efforts to overcome all difficulties, striving to fulfill the sacred and noble task assigned by the Party, State and army.
The team also reported some difficulties and dangers during the mission due to the rugged mountainous terrain conditions and recommended that the People's Committee of Kien Giang province pay attention to creating favorable conditions, providing means and medicine to prevent and control diseases, contributing to helping officers and soldiers to conveniently carry out their missions.

The Vice Chairman of Kien Giang province kindly asked about their health, shared the difficulties and hardships in the process of performing their tasks, and encouraged the spirit of the officers and soldiers of Team K92 who are day and night carrying out the task of searching, collecting and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia.

Mr. Le Trung Ho also suggested that in the coming time, the K92 Team Command continue to thoroughly grasp the meaning and importance of the task of searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia, thereby enhancing their spirit, responsibility, and efforts to excellently complete the task.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province requested Team K92 to continue to coordinate with the competent forces of neighboring countries, promote foreign affairs to grasp and collect more information about martyrs' graves to speed up the search and collection of martyrs' remains. In particular, officers and soldiers should pay attention to maintaining their health, absolute safety, and strictly follow the process of searching and collecting martyrs' remains.

On this occasion, the Kien Giang Provincial Task Force presented gifts and money to encourage officers and soldiers of the K92 Team who are on duty in Kampot and Koh Kong provinces; the Kien Giang Provincial Military Command presented gifts to two K92 Team working groups; the Kien Giang Provincial Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company, Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company and Kien Giang Telecommunications presented gifts to two K92 Team working groups on duty in Kampot and Koh Kong provinces with a total value of more than 60 million VND.
In addition, the Kien Giang Provincial Task Force presented gifts and thanked the local authorities and armed forces of Kampot Province, Kingdom of Cambodia for their attention and active support for Team K92 to carry out its tasks during the dry season of 2024 - 2025.
