On the afternoon of November 5, comrade Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to the report on Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) receiving Khanh Hoa College of Economics as a branch in Khanh Hoa province. On the UEH side, there was Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director in charge of UEH.

After listening to the opinions exchanged at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Ha emphasized that UEH's acceptance of Khanh Hoa College of Economics as a branch in Khanh Hoa province is completely consistent with Resolution No. 71, dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development and Resolution No. 01, dated October 3, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on the Strategy for sustainable development of education and training in the province to 2035, with a vision to 2045. In which, it is determined to implement the arrangement and restructuring of higher education institutions; establish and develop branches and prestigious training facilities in the industries and fields that the province is in need of, associated with the 4 pillars and development driving forces of Khanh Hoa in the coming period; at the same time, it is consistent with the orientation of arranging, reducing focal points, and streamlining public service units. After receiving the policy from the competent authority, the departments and branches are responsible for supporting and coordinating with UEH to implement related procedures to establish a UEH branch in Khanh Hoa on the basis of receiving Khanh Hoa College of Economics.

UEH is one of the higher education institutions in Vietnam operating under the multi-disciplinary, multi-field university model, with an annual student population of more than 30,000 students and trainees at all levels and training systems. Khanh Hoa College of Economics trains on average more than 1,000 intermediate level students, 400 elementary level students, and more than 1,200 high school continuing education program students each year.
