On February 28, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province held a ceremony to announce the planning of Binh Thuan province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and investment promotion in 2024.
Attending the event were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and leaders of central ministries and branches; leaders of localities and Binh Thuan province; representatives of diplomatic agencies, international organizations; representatives of associations, businesses, and domestic and foreign investors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Doan Anh Dung, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, said that Binh Thuan is a province located in the South Central Coast region, located as a bridge between the Southeast, Central Highlands and South Central regions; adjacent to the Southern Key Economic Zone and Ho Chi Minh City, very convenient for trade connection and socio-economic development.

With the theme “Binh Thuan – An attractive destination for investors”, today’s conference will provide basic information on the Provincial Planning; introduce and promote the potentials, advantages, and investment attraction orientations of Binh Thuan to investors.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity for the province to listen to managers, experts, investors, and businesses to contribute ideas and suggestions to exploit and maximize potentials and strengths, realizing the goal of making Binh Thuan develop rapidly, comprehensively, sustainably, and richly from the sea, and making people's lives increasingly prosperous and happy.

To successfully implement the Provincial Planning goals, in the coming time, Binh Thuan province will continue to synchronously perfect mechanisms and policies; determined to reform administrative procedures, improve the investment and business environment, enhance the province's competitiveness; in which, taking people and businesses as the center of service.
The province focuses on attracting investment, focusing on developing three pillars, including: Industry, with the core being clean energy industry, renewable energy, processing and manufacturing industry, high-tech industry organized into industry clusters.
Services, with types of resort tourism services, health care, entertainment, sea sports; training services and research and application of science and technology, logistics services.
Agriculture focuses on developing agricultural models that apply modern technology, have high added value, and are closely linked to the value chain to improve the efficiency of agricultural production.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged, highly appreciated and congratulated the outstanding achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Thuan province have achieved in the past period.
Binh Thuan province's economic scale has reached 100,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 25 times compared to 1992 (the time the province was re-established). GRDP in 2023 will increase by 8.1%, ranking 14th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide; infrastructure, economic - social systems continue to be invested in and built in a synchronous, connected and shared direction...
The Deputy Prime Minister said that with the conditions and advantages of Binh Thuan clearly stated in the Provincial Planning, Binh Thuan is identified as an industrial center for clean energy and marine tourism is a key economic sector, associated with eco-tourism.
Binh Thuan is one of the destinations on the Central Heritage Road. Binh Thuan will become a dynamic, fast, sustainable developing province, enriched by the sea.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that in the coming time, Binh Thuan province needs to continue to take advantage of the land full of sunshine and wind. This is the advantage to develop green energy, renewable energy, offshore wind power, etc.

Binh Thuan Provincial Party Secretary - Mr. Duong Van An affirmed that completing the Binh Thuan Provincial Planning report for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and having it approved by the Prime Minister is a very important task, but it is only the first step.
If we do not do a good job in organizing and implementing, no matter how good the planning is, it is meaningless.

At the ceremony, Binh Thuan province granted investment approval decisions to 4 projects with a total investment capital of nearly 2,100 billion VND. In addition, the province also signed investment registration memorandums with 7 investors with a total registered capital of over 127,000 billion VND.
