Coordinate the implementation of national security protection tasks

On the afternoon of October 26, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to organize a conference to sign the Regulations on coordination in performing the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth and Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the Conference.

The program of coordination between the National Political Publishing House Truth and the Ministry of Public Security on the implementation of the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety includes a number of contents: Exchange and provision of information and documents related to the functions, tasks and powers of the two agencies; Protection of internal political security, cultural and ideological security, protection of state secrets; Coordination of scientific research, seminars and talks to propose to the Politburo and the Secretariat on policies and solutions for the work of protecting security, order and building the People's Public Security force; Coordination of compilation, publication and distribution of books and documents to propagate the results of scientific research, promote publications of the Ministry of Public Security and the Publishing House to spread and replicate advanced models, good people and good deeds in protecting security and order; Coordinate the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on security and order, and fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; Coordinate the construction and development of propaganda and publishing units in the People's Public Security; train, foster and coach to improve the qualifications of cadres working in propaganda and publishing; exchange culture, arts, physical education and sports, etc.

At the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House, said that for many years, the Truth National Political Publishing House has built and maintained a close and effective cooperative relationship with many units under the Ministry of Public Security in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, actively protecting the Party, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints. Through many cooperative contents such as scientific research, compiling and publishing books; organizing scientific seminars and talks; displaying and introducing books; accompanying in social security activities, cultural and artistic exchanges... the close cooperative relationship between the Ministry of Public Security and the Truth National Political Publishing House has been increasingly consolidated.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, the signing conference today continues to affirm the special attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to the task of propagating the protection of national security, ensuring social order and safety, building a people's security posture and the movement of the People's Public Security to protect national security; promoting the study of political theory, training the political qualities of cadres and party members of the People's Public Security; improving the effectiveness of Party building work, building a People's Public Security force that is truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern, practically grasping and implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW, dated March 16, 2022 of the Politburo on promoting the building of a People's Public Security force that is truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation. At the same time, this Conference also demonstrates the great political determination of the National Political Publishing House Truth in consolidating, expanding and improving the effectiveness of coordination with the Ministry of Public Security in the coming time.

Speaking at the Conference, Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security highly appreciated and commended the staff agencies of the two agencies for their great efforts in the process of building the regulations and preparing for the signing, contributing significantly to the success of the Conference.

Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To also said that in order to strengthen the coordination relationship, effectively serve the work of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, in recent years, the Ministry of Public Security has signed over 30 regulations and programs of coordination with ministries, departments, and branches at the central and local levels. According to Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, the organization of signing, deploying, and implementing the regulations and programs of coordination have achieved many positive results; removing difficulties, inadequacies, and overlaps in performing functions and tasks between agencies; improving the effectiveness of coordination, deployment, and implementation of all aspects of work, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the tasks of each party participating in the coordination relationship, firmly protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, serving the socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the country.

It is forecasted that the world and regional situation will have many complex and unpredictable developments, affecting and influencing the national security of each country, including Vietnam. Based on the functions and tasks of the National Political Publishing House Truth and the Ministry of Public Security, the two agencies need to regularly exchange information and coordinate in the work of protecting national security, ensuring social order and security, fighting and preventing crimes; protecting internal politics; reforming administrative procedures; strengthening scientific research, studying political theory; building the Party, building agencies and units... contributing to the excellent completion of assigned political tasks.

In order for the Coordination Regulation to soon come into practice and have practical effects, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc To suggested and hoped that, immediately after the Conference, the National Political Publishing House Truth would continue to pay attention to directing the effective implementation of the Regulation, directing the assigned functional unit to coordinate closely with the focal unit of the Ministry of Public Security, actively promote the standing role, proactively advise the leaders of the two agencies to effectively implement the contents of the Regulation, maintain good coordination, propose periodic reviews and assessments of the implementation results of the Regulation, propose solutions for effective implementation and amendments and supplements to the Regulation.

At the conference, the Truth National Political Publishing House presented the e-bookcase “Protecting the Party’s ideological foundation” to the Ministry of Public Security. On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security presented the “Protecting the Homeland Security” Medal and the Certificate of Merit for “Outstanding achievements in the task of propagating and protecting security and order” from the Minister of Public Security to individuals of the Truth National Political Publishing House.
