Parents of Mister World 2024 contestants enjoy wearing checkered scarves

(Dan Tri) - During the national cultural costume performance night at Mr World 2024, hundreds of international audiences were excited to wear checkered scarves for the first time and watch the contestants compete.


On the evening of November 20, the National Costume performance within the framework of the Mr World 2024 contest took place in Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) bringing more than 60 impressive designs from countries and territories around the world.

Surprisingly, when the camera turned to the audience, hundreds of people, including international audiences, simultaneously wore scarves, creating a beautiful image. This moment was shared by netizens with pride when Southern culture covered the international livestream.

It is known that hundreds of these black and white scarves were handed out by the host organization of Mr World 2024 and guests were instructed on how to use them. The representative of the organizing committee said that the contest held in Vietnam is an opportunity to promote the country's culture to international friends.

"We are very touched and proud when the contestants talk about Vietnam and call out the name of Vietnam. I think this is a very special part. We are happy to promote Vietnam on international television," the organizers of Mr World 2024 shared.

Talking about this special gift, the national director of Mister World Indonesia said that after experiencing Vietnamese cuisine and culture, he was impressed with the way Vietnam promotes its culture to international friends.

He said: "I love Vietnamese culture and people. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to come to this wonderful country, and also the first time I set foot in Phan Thiet. The nature here is wonderful."

Present to support her son, the mother of Mr. World Belgium was moved to express that she felt happy when her son performed on a big stage with such a grand investment. At the same time, wearing the Vietnamese scarf was also an interesting experience for her.

Meanwhile, the mother of Mr. World Philippines said she was impressed with the way Vietnam promotes its culture. "I see that the scarf is very popular in Vietnam. I will wear this scarf when I board the plane back to the Philippines," she said.

During the competition night, more than 60 carefully invested national costumes were impressively performed by the contestants on stage. Each costume was not only a sophisticated design but also contained a message about national identity.

In particular, the contestants are arranged to perform by continent, helping the audience easily feel the differences in the culture of each region.

Vietnam's representative - Mr. Tuan Ngoc - impressed with his 25kg costume called "Stone Dragon Carving" by young designer Ngo Hai Dang of Dang Trong Minh Chau's team. This work was inspired by the Ninh Van stone craft village (Ninh Binh province), with a sophisticated 3D flying dragon symbol.
