In Athletics, Nguyen Thi Oanh made an unbelievable feat by winning 2 consecutive gold medals in just 30 minutes.

In the final of the women's 1,500m event, Nguyen Thi Oanh left the athletes behind to finish first with a time of 4 minutes 16 seconds 85. This is the second gold medal that Nguyen Thi Oanh won at the 32nd SEA Games after winning the 5,000m event.

A few minutes later, Nguyen Thi Oanh continued to enter the women's 3,000m steeplechase event. She shone to defend her gold medal in this event when she finished with a time of 10 minutes 34 seconds 03. This is the event where Nguyen Thi Oanh currently holds the SEA Games record with a result of 9 minutes 52 seconds 46.

Nguyen Thi Oanh competed in two middle distance events with a start time of only 30 minutes. The actual rest time between the two events was only about 10 minutes. In the end, Oanh still successfully defended her double gold medal, a feat that is almost impossible on the international level.

In the history of Vietnamese athletics, no athlete has ever been able to do what Nguyen Thi Oanh has done. With this feat, Oanh truly deserves to be a monument of Vietnamese athletics and the Southeast Asian region.
