Traffic congestion on Bai Vot - Vung Ang highway on the first day of the holiday

(Baohatinh.vn) - On the first day of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, traffic on the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang highways in Ha Tinh increased rapidly, but traffic was still smooth and people could travel conveniently.

On the morning of April 30 - the first day of the 5-day holiday, on the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressways, Ha Tinh Newspaper reporters recorded that the traffic volume on the route increased compared to the first day of operation.

The main vehicles are private cars and some large trucks such as containers and tractors, moving from Hanoi to Ha Tinh.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Deputy Director of Road Management Area 2 (Vietnam Road Administration) said: From 6:00 p.m. on April 28, car drivers are allowed to travel on the two expressways Bai Vot - Ham Nghi and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang in Ha Tinh. On April 29, traffic on the two expressways was clear with a small number of vehicles.

Since the morning of April 30, traffic volume on these two highways has increased compared to the previous day. This is because today is the first day of the holiday and information about the two highways being put into operation has spread to many drivers.

Despite the increase in vehicles, traffic on the two highways remains clear, with no congestion or traffic jams.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, since the two expressways were put into operation, the unit has coordinated with relevant agencies to arrange guard posts to organize traffic flow and regulate traffic at the intersections on and off the expressway.

According to the assessment of the functional unit, in the coming days, the number of vehicles choosing the two expressways Bai Vot - Ham Nghi and Ham Nghi - Vung Ang through Ha Tinh will continue to increase.
