District 1, Ho Chi Minh City has issued regulations on extra teaching, learning, and use of social networks... for teachers.
In order to improve the status of teachers, build a team of teachers with strong political will, pure professional qualities and conscience, standard lifestyle and behavior, each teacher is an example for students to follow, on December 21, the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City deployed a document on strengthening the management of the teaching staff of the education and training sector.
Cases where teachers are not allowed to teach extra classes
The Department of Education and Training of District 1 strictly prohibits teachers from giving extra classes in violation of regulations according to Circular No. 17/2012 of the Ministry of Education and Training, which stipulates cases where extra classes are not allowed:
- No extra classes for students who have been organized by the school to study 2 sessions/day.
- No extra classes for primary school students, except in cases of arts, sports , and life skills training.
Social media etiquette for teachers
- Do not use social networks to disseminate, propagate, or comment on information or images that are contrary to good customs and traditions, the Party's guidelines, the State's laws and policies, or that negatively affect the educational environment.
- Do not cheat, lie, slander, cause animosity, harass, coerce, or threaten violence against others.
- Do not harm the health, honor, dignity of yourself, others and the reputation of the collective.
Do not take advantage of the name of the parent-teacher association
In addition, the Department of Education and Training of District 1 requires educational institutions to implement regulations on operating costs of the school's and class's mother representative committees for parents of all students in the school to know.
- It is strictly forbidden to take advantage of the name of the parent-teacher association to collect fees other than those prescribed in Circular No. 55/2011 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- The operating budget of the parents' representative board is managed, used and only serves the direct activities of the parents' representative board. The funds of the parents' representative board are not used for the following purposes: Protecting school facilities, ensuring school security, supervising students' vehicles, cleaning classrooms and schools; rewarding school administrators, teachers and staff; purchasing machinery, equipment and teaching aids for schools, classes or for administrators, teachers and staff; supporting management work, organizing teaching and educational activities; repairing, upgrading and building new school facilities.
- Teachers are strictly prohibited from keeping the class's parent activity funds.
- The principal and homeroom teacher supervise the school's and class's parent representative committee in managing and using parent-teacher activity funds according to regulations.
The District 1 Department of Education and Training assigns the principal to be directly responsible for financial management, assets, management of extra teaching and learning, and the code of conduct of managers, teachers, and employees at the unit. Responsible for checking that teachers and employees comply with the above regulations, strictly, promptly, and in accordance with the law for employees who violate the regulations and individuals who violate the regulations. Timely report and inform the Department of Education when detecting individuals who violate the regulations, causing negative impacts on the educational environment at the unit and the district's Department of Education and Training.
