Care for the lives of female workers

QTO - Caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, especially female workers, is the task that the grassroots union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited, located in Dong Hoi ward, always focuses on. Thanks to that, union members and workers here are increasingly united, enthusiastically participating in emulation movements, and actively contributing to the development of the enterprise.

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union on October 20, the Trade Union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited recently organized a women's volleyball tournament and a talk show, cultural exchange, and a birthday celebration for the third quarter of 2025 for the women in the unit. 100% of female union members participated in these meaningful activities in a joyful and exciting atmosphere.

“I have been working at the company for 16 years now. During that time, female workers have always received attention and encouragement from the board of directors, the union and the women's union. In addition to having stable jobs and guaranteed income, we also participate in many practical activities, contributing to improving both our physical and mental health.

Especially during sensitive periods such as pregnancy, raising young children or when health is not good, women are given conditions to reduce workload and rest properly. That understanding and sharing helps us feel secure in our commitment and constantly strive to complete our tasks well," shared Ms. Nguyen Hong Viet, a teacher in the company's school department.

The Trade Union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited was established in 2007, currently has 28 members, including 25 female members. Employees in the enterprise work in two main departments: Construction and schools. Female workers are mainly concentrated in the school department, responsible for caring for, nurturing and educating preschool children. Recognizing the role and characteristics of female workers, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Women's Union of the company always pay attention and create conditions for women to promote their capacity, ensuring harmony between work, health, life and family.

Every year, the unit organizes many practical activities such as: Training, organizing seminars, professional competitions to help improve professional capacity for union members; sightseeing, picnics. Through council meetings, seminars to integrate propaganda, popularize policies and laws related to female workers such as: Law on Gender Equality, Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, Reproductive Health Care... Organizing cultural- sport activities, exchanges, discussions on holidays: International Women's Day March 8, Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20, September 2, Lunar New Year... to improve spiritual life, unite the collective.

In addition, the trade union also coordinates and proposes many practical policies to improve the lives of workers such as: Regular health check-ups, providing full uniforms and labor protection annually; organizing training to improve skills, and regular training in fire prevention and fighting.

In particular, female workers and their families in difficult circumstances of the company are taken care of regularly and thoughtfully, such as organizing visits and giving gifts on holidays, Tet or when the workers are sick, pregnant, or have family problems; creating conditions for female workers in special circumstances to be arranged suitable jobs, ensuring stable income. Building a sick visit fund to promptly visit and encourage workers. Coordinating with the superior trade union to organize the programs "Union Shelter", "Spring of Love", giving gifts to children of poor workers who overcome difficulties to study well.

With the motto "Caring - sharing - accompanying female union members", the Trade Union Executive Committee and the Women's Union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Co., Ltd. always strive to take care of their lives, improve their professional qualifications, create a friendly working environment, help women feel secure in their contributions and promote the role of modern women who are both good at public affairs and good at housework.

Ms. Pham Thi Huynh, in the school department, has 3 young children. She herself is often sick, her husband works far from home, and her income is unstable. In her difficult circumstances, the Trade Union and the Women's Union of the company are always close, supporting, visiting in a timely manner, encouraging and motivating her to strive to improve. Thanks to that, every year she completes her assigned tasks well. Ms. Huynh said: "Because of my difficult family circumstances, the unit always creates the best conditions for me at work. Besides, on holidays and Tet during the year, we also receive material and spiritual care from the Executive Committee of the Company's Trade Union. Thanks to that, we feel secure working here for a long time."

With the synchronous solutions of the leaders, the union executive board; the consensus and joint efforts of the employees, Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited has overcome many difficulties and challenges, always maintained stable operations, created jobs and good income for employees. Thanks to that, the company's average annual revenue reached 24,728 billion VND, in 2024 alone it reached 39,849 billion VND; the average income of employees in 2024 reached 5 million VND/person/month.

“The results achieved in professional activities and activities of the Trade Union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited in recent times demonstrate practical and timely concern for the lives of employees, contributing to creating motivation and keeping them attached to the enterprise for a long time,” informed the Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Tuong Minh Construction and Consulting Company Limited, Mai Thu Hien.
