In recent times, in order to preserve and promote the value of the Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic Site, Quang Yen Town has issued regulations on the organization and operation of the Town-level Relic Project Management Board to organize and implement. The locality has proactively renovated and created environmental landscapes; increased communication and promotion. In particular, it has coordinated the organization of many practical activities, typically sightseeing and experience activities at museums and relic sites such as Trung Ban Communal House, Hung Hoc Temple, Tran Hung Dao Temple, etc.
The Bach Dang Relic Management Board also coordinates with communes and wards to preserve the relic boundary markers and relic protection areas, avoiding construction that harms or encroaches on the relic protection area. Issue regulations on coordination in the management, protection and promotion of the value of the Bach Dang special national historical relic with Yen Giang, Nam Hoa wards and Lien Hoa commune. At the same time, proactively call on organizations and individuals to donate, renovate, embellish and add artifacts to beautify the landscape, and replace some artifacts that have been degraded, old and damaged for a long time.
Since 2012, Quang Yen Town has also coordinated to establish a master plan for the project to preserve and promote the value of the Bach Dang Victory Historical Site, approved by the Prime Minister with a total estimated investment of 800 billion VND. The project is divided into 3 investment phases.
In which, phase 1 has been implemented since 2016, with a total investment of nearly 205 billion VND, aiming to gradually concretize the master plan to preserve and promote the value of the Bach Dang victory historical relic site and the detailed construction plan approved by competent authorities. The project has been approved to invest in the following items: Technical infrastructure system of the 7.8ha central relic area; traffic routes to the relics of Dong Ma Ngua stake field, Dong Van Muoi stake field, Trung Ban communal house; architectural works and resettlement areas. Up to now, the space and landscape for the relic site have been initially created.
Despite many positive results, the conservation of Bach Dang relic site still faces a number of challenges. Bach Dang stake field is a living testament to the victory in 1288. However, the conservation of wooden stake fields in a flooded environment requires appropriate technical solutions to prevent decomposition. In addition, although there is an orientation for tourism development associated with the value of Bach Dang relic, connecting with tourist routes and destinations inside and outside the province, the implementation is still lacking in synchronization. This makes the tourism potential of the relic not fully exploited, not worthy of a special national relic.
Receiving opinions and recommendations from voters, the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town has proactively coordinated with the Departments of Construction, Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Finance to adjust the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for the project to preserve and promote the value of the Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic Site. Quang Yen Town has also completed the adjustment of the detailed planning; at the same time, it reported and proposed to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to submit to the Department of Finance, and reported to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to establish an investment policy for the project to preserve and promote the value of the Bach Dang National Special Historical Relic Site and propose capital sources for the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030.
