The Central Military Commission summarizes the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

On October 10, in Hanoi , the Central Military Commission held a conference to review the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity during the 13th Party Congress term in the Party Committee of the Army in the form of direct and online connection to the Party Committees directly under the Central Military Commission.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the conference.

The conference unanimously assessed that, over the past time, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have thoroughly grasped, deployed and seriously implemented the resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party and the laws of the State on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity identified in the 13th Party Congress term and the Resolution of the 11th Military Party Congress.

Timely issue resolutions, directives, programs, plans, regulations, and leadership and direction regulations in each important field of work that are accurate and appropriate to the situation and tasks of the Army, serving as a basis for deployment and unified implementation throughout the Army.

Along with that, we have done a good job of disseminating and educating politics , propagating and disseminating legal education on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, raising awareness, sense of responsibility and creating trust for officers and soldiers; reviewing, amending, supplementing, promulgating regulations, rules, regimes, norms and standards; being open and transparent in financial work, investment in purchasing materials, equipment, and basic construction; managing and using national defense land, controlling assets and income.

At the same time, strengthen inspection, examination, supervision and handling of cases; investigate, prosecute and try cases strictly, in accordance with the law, achieving quality and efficiency.

The work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity has achieved important results, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization in the Army in all aspects.

In addition to the achievements and results, the delegates attending the conference discussed and frankly pointed out the remaining limitations, difficulties and obstacles; raised the causes, drew lessons; along with proposing and recommending solutions to overcome the limitations and obstacles, improving the quality and effectiveness of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong requested Party committees, Party organizations, and commanders at all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement Party documents, State laws, regulations of the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; regularly review, amend, and supplement the system of leadership regulations and commander regulations to create a legal corridor in leading, directing, and operating agencies and units; and identify the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity as a content in regular leadership resolutions of Party committees.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong emphasized that Party committees and commanders of agencies and units need to continue to lead and direct the promotion of propaganda and education on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; build self-awareness and high unity of will and action among cadres and Party members in this work, first of all, the exemplary and resolute role of the heads of Party committees, agencies and units.

In addition, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong noted the need to focus on educating and training integrity, building a culture of thrift, avoiding corruption, waste, and negativity among cadres and party members; seriously implementing inspection work, receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, in which, focusing on doing a good job of internal self-inspection, especially checking the implementation of regimes and standards for soldiers, promptly detecting and handling violations.

Inspection agencies at all levels focus on inspection, examination and supervision in areas prone to corruption, waste and negativity, promptly detect and handle them and publicize the handling results.

In addition, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong requested that the prosecution agencies and functional agencies under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense need to strengthen coordination to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up the progress of resolving cases and incidents; focus on building, training, fostering, improving professional qualifications, training political mettle, and revolutionary ethics for cadres in charge of this work; have a timely and worthy reward mechanism for cadres and party members with achievements in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.

At the conference, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing and organizing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity during the 13th Party Congress term in the Party Committee of the Army received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense./.
