Quang Ngai: 3 projects with total capital of 2,585 billion VND are about to start construction

Perspective of Tra Khuc 1 Bridge Project with total investment capital of nearly 2,200 billion VND.

The Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said it is rushing to complete procedures to start construction of a number of projects in the remaining 3 months of 2025.

According to the plan from now until the end of 2025, Quang Ngai is expected to start 3 projects, including the Project to Upgrade and Expand the Traffic Infrastructure System in Dung Quat Economic Zone; Repair and Expand the Tuyen Tung Reservoir Irrigation Canal and the Tra Khuc 1 Bridge Project, with a total investment of about 2,585 billion VND.

Specifically, the project to repair and expand the irrigation canal of Tuyen Tung Reservoir, in Binh Minh commune (formerly Binh An commune), has a total investment of about 35 billion VND, and is expected to start construction in December 2025.

It is known that Tuyen Tung reservoir project started construction in 2003, with a total investment of about 13 billion VND.

According to design, Tuyen Tung reservoir has an area of nearly 21 hectares, supplying irrigation water for 400 hectares of production land of people in the western area of the old Binh Son district.

This is an important irrigation project, built to serve agricultural production and aquaculture for people in Binh Minh commune (Binh An, Binh Khuong, Binh Minh communes, old Binh Son district) and neighboring areas.

After being completed and put into use for a long time, some items have degraded and damaged; the irrigation water supply capacity according to the old design has decreased, unable to meet current needs.

Therefore, investment in repairing, upgrading and renewing the canal system of Tuyen Tung reservoir will contribute to increasing the capacity of irrigation water supply, serving agricultural production of people in this area.

The second project is to upgrade and expand the traffic infrastructure system in Dung Quat Economic Zone, with a total investment of 350 billion VND, expected to start construction in October 2025.

It is known that this project will upgrade, expand and invest in new routes such as Tri Binh - Thien Dang roundabout; Thien Dang - Chu Lai roundabout; National Highway 1 - Tinh Phong - Binh Tan connecting route (phase 1); Lam Vien - Van Tuong route, with a total length of about 8 km.

And the final project is Tra Khuc 1 bridge with a total investment of nearly 2,200 billion VND, expected to start construction in December 2025.

Accordingly, Tra Khuc 1 bridge, belonging to group B project, has a length of more than 577m, width of 28m, built in Nghia Lo and Truong Quang Trong wards; implementation period from 2025 - 2027.

After completion, the new Tra Khuc 1 bridge will replace the old Tra Khuc 1 bridge, contributing to gradually completing the synchronous traffic network in the province according to the approved planning, improving transport capacity, connecting traffic from the northern gateway to the center of Quang Ngai province in both directions of Tra Khuc river.

In addition, the new Tra Khuc 1 bridge will create an architectural highlight; creating a symbol for the riverside urban area of the center of Quang Ngai province in the future.

All three projects mentioned above are invested by the Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.

In addition, two investment projects will be prepared: Upgrading and renovating National Highway 24B Project and Dung Quat - Sa Huynh Coastal Road Project, Phase III.
