Accordingly, at the landslide location, the positive slope side was pushed up by the soil, causing damage to the road surface structure, pushing the stone embankment system to prevent landslides down towards the road surface. The damaged road surface was raised up to a maximum of about 40cm; the width of the raised strip from the foot of the positive slope embankment was about 5.5m, narrowing the road surface, posing a risk of traffic insecurity. Currently, vehicles can still participate in traffic on the negative slope side.

However, according to observations by VNA reporters, the half of the road on the negative slope has also shown signs of rising. Although vehicles can still travel, if there is no early solution, the risk of complete damage and disruption of traffic on National Highway 24 is entirely possible.

Currently, the authorities have put up warning signs and fenced off the area, allowing vehicles to move in one direction. The Quang Ngai Department of Construction also said that the unit will set up an inspection team to soon have a plan to handle the damaged location above.
