Quang Ngai: Organizing the "I Love My Homeland's Seas and Islands" competition.

On May 30th and 31st, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Ngai province, organized the "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" program in Duc Pho town (Quang Ngai province).

Many localities are stepping up efforts to combat IUU fishing.

Synchronicity Earth (UK) is supporting four districts in Quang Ngai province in conserving the grey-footed langur.

Attending the program were: Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2; Tran Ngoc Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Ngai province, along with leaders of Duc Pho town.

The students participated in the competition.

The competition featured 60 outstanding students representing over 1,000 students from three schools: Pho Khanh Secondary School, Pho Cuong Secondary School, and Pho Hoa Primary and Secondary School.

The competition was lively and took place in a multiple-choice format with four sections: "Setting Sail," "Overcoming Waves," "Reaching the Shore," and "Establishing Sovereignty Markers." The content covered knowledge about the sea and islands; the duties, functions, and traditions of the Coast Guard; the harmful effects of drugs; and school violence, among other things.

On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented 15 bicycles and 30 scholarships (worth 30 million VND) to outstanding students; and donated 3 computer sets to 3 schools participating in the competition.

Also at the competition, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 summarized and awarded 20 prizes to students with outstanding works participating in the painting competition with the theme "The Sea, Islands of the Fatherland and the Coast Guard Soldier" which the unit had previously launched in coordination with the Department of Education and Training of Duc Pho Town.

The Coast Guard Region 2 Command donated bicycles to students.

These activities are part of the "Coast Guard Accompanying Fishermen" Program in 2024, jointly organized by the Coast Guard Region 2 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Quang Ngai: Departments and agencies join hands to protect and ensure human rights.

On the morning of April 26, 2024, the Government's Standing Office on Human Rights, in coordination with the Quang Ngai Provincial Steering Committee for Human Rights, organized a training conference on grassroots human rights work in 2024.

On May 25th, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Ngai province organized the 2024 Homestay Program for Lao students studying in Quang Ngai.
