Cultural performances celebrating the Vietnam-Cuba friendship were held to welcome the photo exhibition.
In her opening remarks at the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: The Vietnam-Cuba relationship is a special friendship established on the basis of unwavering support during Vietnam's war for independence.
On behalf of the Quang Ninh provincial leadership, he expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the special friendship, close solidarity, and generous and sincere support that the fraternal country of Cuba has given to Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past, as well as in the current cause of national construction and defense. He also expressed confidence that, with the solid foundation of the close friendship forged and tested over the past 65 years, the Vietnam-Cuba relationship will continue to develop deeply and effectively, benefiting the people and serving the goals of sustainable development, making a positive contribution to peace , stability, and prosperity of both countries and the world.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders and people of Quang Ninh province, as well as the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, for organizing this meaningful photo exhibition on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Vietnam. He affirmed that the historical relationship between Cuba and Vietnam is an invaluable asset, founded by outstanding leaders President Ho Chi Minh and President Fidel Castro, and continuously enriched by generations of leaders and people of both Cuba and Vietnam over the years, becoming a vivid symbol of friendship and international solidarity.

The Vietnam-Cuba photo exhibition in Quang Ninh features 108 photos divided into three sections: images depicting the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general, and between Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Cuba in particular; images introducing the country and people of Cuba; and images introducing the land and people of Quang Ninh.

The exhibition aims to introduce and promote to the public typical images of Cuba and its people; of the natural beauty, culture, and social life of Quang Ninh (Vietnam), contributing to tourism development and attracting investment between the two countries; and at the same time vividly recreate the milestones of cooperative relations between Quang Ninh province and Cuba in particular and Vietnam and Cuba in general.

The photo exhibition "Connecting and Spreading Vietnam-Cuba Friendship" will take place over six days, from December 16-21, 2025, at the Quang Ninh Museum.
