Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training requests that heads of units and schools urgently notify preschool children, students, and trainees to stay home from the afternoon of September 19 until the weather returns to normal. For high schools with teachers on duty and students participating in the 2024-2025 12th grade Cultural Excellence Student Selection Exam, promptly report any arising issues for a solution.

Schools regularly and closely monitor the developments of storm No. 4 to proactively deploy plans to prevent and combat storms, heavy rains, floods, flash floods and landslides; review and inspect facilities, especially classrooms, functional rooms, roofs, drainage systems... to ensure safety against storms and floods.

In addition, prepare evacuation plans, move students, teachers, documents and teaching equipment to safe places; assign staff, teachers and employees to be on duty 24/7 to prevent storms and floods.

Immediately after the storm, organize cleaning of schools, repair damage to facilities, ensure safety and hygiene before welcoming students back to school.

According to the forecast of the Quang Tri Hydrometeorological Station, early on the morning of September 19, the tropical depression in the northeastern area of ​​Hoang Sa archipelago strengthened into a storm, storm number 4 in 2024.

At 10:00 a.m. on September 19, the storm's eye was located in the coastal waters from Quang Binh to Thua Thien Hue provinces. The strongest wind was level 8-9, gusting to level 11. In Con Co island district, the wind was level 9, gusting to level 10; in Cua Viet town (Gio Linh district), the wind was level 8.
